Trustee
I have worked with children and young people for eighteen years; I have run Mums and Tots groups, worked in a pre-school, a primary school and a secondary school, as well as being the Chair of pre-school committees and the local school association. I moved into safeguarding and family support nine years ago; initially at primary level and currently in a secondary school. I have led parenting courses and groups for those who have been through domestic abuse. I have worked to support numerous adults, children and young people that struggle with their mental health and it’s something that I am passionate about; waiting lists are huge for the services available, which shows just how much of a necessity Don’t Lose Hope is.
Outside of work, I love to read, go to the theatre and spend time with family and friends. I have been married to Steve for twenty years and we have two teenage daughters. This is a wonderful charity and I am proud to be part of a team that wants to make a real difference in the community.
