Adult and Young Person Counsellor
I qualified as a counsellor in 2007 and am a registered member of the BACP. I spent over 15 years volunteering for the bereavement charity, Cruse, supporting both adults and children. Now that my own children have grown up and flown the nest, this has given me the opportunity to devote more time to my counselling career. Although my background lies with person-centred counselling, I like to incorporate other therapeutic techniques when appropriate, and I particularly enjoy the more creative work undertaken with younger clients. I’m passionate about the transformative outcomes that can be achieved through counselling; Don’t Lose Hope gives our local community the opportunity to access the help and support that counselling can provide, irrespective of age or income. It’s an amazing charity and I feel immensely privileged to be part of the counselling team.
