Jenna Maryniak

Counsellor and Fundraising Manager

It’s not often you get to be part of something truly life changing for so many people. I have seen first hand the life-changing impact of Don’t Lose Hope on its clients and the wider community of Bourne – and I’m so happy to be part of that!

I’m a qualified counsellor, registered and accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. I have my own private practice in Werrington, and I bring a wealth of experience from 8 years as a police detective in child abuse and domestic abuse, as well as having worked and played in the great outdoors – with all the benefits being in nature brings.

My method of counselling relies very much on establishing a trusting, confidential relationship, where you feel safe to explore your problems without judgement. From here we will go on a journey that can be life-changing. We work together to explore what is going on for you and what might help. Every counselling journey is different and unique to you.

Be warned though, once you become part of the Don’t Lose Hope family, you may find it hard to leave – and like me find yourself fundraising and volunteering to help them continue to do the amazing work they do!
