Adult Counsellor
So many things have to come together for counselling to be affective. It has to be the right time for you, in the right environment, with the right type of counsellor and the right type of counselling! It’s easy to see why you often hear: “I have had counselling in the past and it didn’t work”. There are so many variables. Sometimes your goals can be really clear and focused, and I will work alongside you so you can you achieve them or at least get on the right trajectory to achieve them. If the goals aren’t clear or focused, and things feel muddled, I am here to help you unpick what’s happening, empowering you to work out the way forwards. My training is rooted in a person-centred approach, meaning you are the focus. I will work with you in a empathic, congruent and compassionate way, listening without judgement. I am an advocate for empowerment, being there to help you navigate the reasons that brought you to counselling.
